Herb Garden starter kit

January 23, 2022

I’m working on developing an heirloom herb garden kit. I’m preparing to launch this kit around March or April. We’re shooting for the beginning of Spring.

a planter for starting seeds. A green thin plastic seed starter container with a clear liner that holds jiffy pods filled with soil in which the seeds for the kitchen herb garden will be planted once the jiffies expand when water is added to them

I’m a big fan of using fresh herbs in the kitchen. For example, today I’m making Pot Roast with a lot of fresh thyme in it. I usually buy the thyme, but I sometimes forget to pick up my fresh herbs when I’m at the store. Nothing can beat the savings and convenience of growing your own herbs!

a bunch of fresh thyme with lots and lots of rich dark green stiff little green leaves growing off the thin little twigs in puffy sprigs. The herbs are lying on a white marble colored countertop. I pick the leaves off and add them to pot roast

I have a lot of choices in seeds, and I’d be curious to know which are the most popular or considered kitchen staples for most home cooks. I’m planting all of them and will use growth results as part of my criteria for the herb seeds that finally end up in the kit. I’d like to provide 12 different herb seeds to include everything you need to plant your own mini garden.
